Figure 3a-d: Locations of shore-normal GPR profiles in the four CRLC subcells. Most GPR profiles or combined profile segments, extend from the modern beach backshore to near the backedge of the barrier or beach plain. GPR profile names, profile length, antenna frequency, step size, topographic correction, and year of survey are shown in Table 1. GPR profile starting points, i.e., either to the west or east, are identified by UTM coordinates in Table 3. Longshore spacing between GPR profiles, about 5 km, was established to provide a similar survey coverage, i.e., data density, to that of offshore seismic tracklines (Cross et al., 1998).
