Figure 13a: Field trip group at exposed tidal marsh sequence along Lewis and Clark River, Youngs Bay, east of Clatsop subcell. The purpose of the field trip was to compare buried marsh stratigraphy, i.e., Cascadia earthquake subsidence events (Atwater, 2000) with GPR records of catastrophic beach retreat in the Columbia River littoral cell barriers and beach plains.
